IB Film SL
IB Film develops students’ critical abilities, enabling them to appreciate the multiplicity of cultural and historical perspectives in film. To achieve understanding of internationalism within the world of film, students consider a wide range of film texts, theories, and ideas from the points of view of different individuals, nations, and cultures. Students also develop the organizational and technical skills needed to express themselves creatively with film. This course emphasizes the importance of working individually and as a member of a team.
One year course, 10 credits
Grade level: 11th and 12th
Prerequisite: Honors English or Honors/AP History, or a B+ or higher in CP English II and/or approval of instructor
